College Football Player Props Picks: Week 9

Week 8 is very kind to us in the world of College Football! Four of five plays hit with my boy KJ Duff being the only one to do us dirty which was shocking because he had a rare subpar game.
This week is shaping up to be another solid weekend for us on the gridiron. There's quite a few games and spots I absolutely LOVE this weekend.
Here's some of the players props I'm looking at targeting this weekend:
Ian Strong Over 4.5 Receptions (-122 FanDuel)
Wide receivers might be the prop we continue to focus on here in the MVP write ups! We saw four players props last week from the wide receiver position and hit on 75% of them!
We started off a week ago with a HOT wide receiver in the Heisman Trophy discussion. This week finds us starting with a receiver sitting right on the outside of the Top 150 prospects in the 2027 NFL Draft. Cal wide receiver Ian Strong might not be the highly touted draft prospect or on the stellar College Football Playoff team, but he featured in a match-up spot I like here against the NC State Wolfpack.
The Wolfpack have allowed at least one opposing wide receiver to catch five passes in all of their last five games. They've even had two opposing wide receivers hit this mark in their game against Wake Forest.
Yes, Ian Strong is currently on the injury report as questionable this weekend, but he should hit this mark if he plays. He's hit this mark for receptions in five of his seven games this season and has hit it in each of his last three games.
Both Ian Strong and Chase Hendricks are ballin' for the Golden Bears and that should continue this week in Raleigh, North Carolina.
noah Fifita Over 255.5 Passing Yards (-114 FanDuel/Caesars)
Two Big 12 goliaths collide this weekend in Lubbock, Texas when the Arizona Wildcats face off with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Both teams come into this weekend's match-up with only a single loss on their resumes. Arizona lost earlier in the season to BYU while Texas Tech got hit with their lone loss last week against the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Quarterback Noah Fifita has been the engine for this Arizona offense in 2026. Outside of the BYU loss, he's been absolutely stellar! He's averaged 311 passing yards per game in the five games since that loss in Provo, Utah.
The Red Raider defense is susceptible to solid performances by opposing quarterbacks. They have three opposing quarterbacks hit this mark for passing yards in their last five games. Fifita will be the best quarterback that the Red Raiders have faced since Houston's Conner Weigman. Houston also played Texas Tech in Lubbock, and Weigman slung the pill for over 280 passing yards in the game.
I'm expecting a really good game which is good throughout and will require Noah Fifita to do everything he can to help the Wildcats win on Saturday.
noah Fifita Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+102 FanDuel)
"What are you doing? Did you just double-dip the pick? YOU DOUBLE-DIPPED THE PICK! Look, when you make a pick, just make one pick and END IT!" If you found yourself saying this after reading Noah Fifita's name again, then there's a chance we'd be friends! Who doesn't like Seinfeld?
Just like passing yards, the only game where Fifita did not sling two passing touchdown was the loss to BYU. He's even played on the road twice since that game and has seven passing touchdowns combined in those games.
The Red Raiders also know how to give up passing touchdowns. They've allowed opposing quarterbacks to throw for 2+ touchdown in four of their last five games.
The way Fifita and the Texas Tech defense has been playing recently, I'm even tempted to sprinkle a little on 3+ Passing touchdowns for Fifita this weekend.
Gunner Stockton Over 237.5 Passing Yards (-114 FanDuel)
There's only one single quarterback who hasn't thrown for at least 238 yards against the Florida defense. Anyone know who? Anybody? Bueller...? Bueller....? Bueller?
Arch Manning is the only quarterback to not hit this mark for passing yards against a Gator defense who are not the best against the pass. They rank 121st out of 138 FB programs against the pass, averaging 255 passing yards given up per game this season.
If this game was before the month of October, this prop would be nowhere near this write up. That's because Gunner Stockton hit the under for this prop in every single game prior to October. However, since the calendar turned to Orange and Black, Stockton has hit the OVER for passing yards all throughout October. He's averaging 272 passing yards over the Bulldogs last three game against Vandy, Alabama, and Auburn.
Halloween might be the ultimate final level for Stockton in October, and it could be a scary day for the Gators!
Drew Mestemaker Over 297.5 Passing Yards (-114 FanDuel)
Back when we played Drew Mestemaker's passing yards in Week 7, I said, "there's a high probability that he's my top ranked QB when I do my next NFL Big Board." Well, my new big board is out their right now for you to check out! Not only is Drew my top ranked quarterback for the 2027 NFL Draft class, but he's TOP 5 BABY!!!!
Enough gloating though. Let's get to the pick.
Drew Mestemaker is continuing to show the world why his is HIM! His streak of 300+ passing yard games since the opening loss to Tulsa continued last week against Colorado. He's even averaging 332.3 passing yards per game this season. So, a line of 297.5 might seem a little disrespectful.
I'm guessing the line is where it's at because the books are respecting the Iowa State defense. Over their last five games, the Cyclones defense has only allowing the opposing quarterback to throw for 298+ yards only two times. However, those two times have been in ISU last two games. Also, they've been against names like Noah Fifita and Bear Bachmeier. Oh you know, two of the best quarterback names in the Big 12 this season.
Dew Mestemaker isn't just on their level, he's ABOVE THEIR LEVEL! GIMME MY BOI TO HIT THE OVER THIS WEEKEND AT JACK TRICE STADIUM IN AMES, IOWA!
