Panthers vs Packers Player Props Picks: NFL Week 8

Thursday Night Football features two teams who need a win this week in the worst way. Not only are both of them coming off of loses last week, but a loss would put more pressure on their seasons.

The Panthers are a team sitting at the top of ONE of football's worst divisions (NFC South or NFC East...take your pick). They only lead the division by a single game and need a win to stay in sole possession of the NFC South's #1 spot. On the other side, the Packers are sitting last in the NFC North and could be completely out of the division crown sooner rather than later.

This type of desperation/urgency leads to the big players coming out and shining the brightest. There's a couple of players that could fit this call for tonight's game.

Prop #1: Chuba Hubbard Anytime Touchdown (-115 FanDuel/Fanatics)

Chuba Hubbard has been a scoring machine for the Panthers this season. He's found the endzone a total of six times for Carolina and has cored two touchdowns in two games this season.

The Packers defense has been very susceptible to running back touchdowns in 2026. They are tied for 3rd-most rushing touchdowns given up this season with nine rushing touchdowns given up this season. Six of those nine rushing touchdowns have come in the last five games for Green Bay. This includes a Thursday Night Football game against the Falcons where Atlanta scored three rushing touchdowns on the Packers.

I'm surprised this line for Hubbard's anytime touchdown isn't longer. There's a real good chance he finds the endzone tonight. Question is will he do a Lambeau Leap if he scored a touchdown?

Prop #2: Tetairoa McMillan 6+ Receptions (+118 Draft Kings)

The last time the Panthers were on primetime Tetairoa McMillan absolutely WENT OFF against the Detroit Lions. He ended that game with 14 receptions for 192 receiving yards and two touchdowns. It was and still is easily his best game of the season.

Much like their run defense, the Packers pass defense ranked 6th in receptions given up o far this season. They given up a 158 total receptions this season through seven games, averaging a total of 22 receptions given up per game. They've had six opposing receivers in their last five games rack up at least six receptions for the game.

Tet's only been able to hit this mark twice this season through six games, but he has recorded five catches in two games as well. I know the hit percentage for him is a concern, but sometimes the opponent is so weak or susceptible that it's more about that compared to the hit percentage.

Prop #3: Josh JAcobs Anytime Touchdown (-115 MGM)

I know I usually contain one long shot prop for these primetime write up, but to be honest, there wasn't a long shot prop that I was confident for this game. However, there was a normal prop I was confident in for the Green Bay Packers.

Josh Jacob returned last week for the Packers after being out to start the season dealing with a domestic issue between him and his girlfriend. It was a solid return for Jacobs. He recorded 80+ total yards in the game and was able to find the endzone once. This without saying is a "low sample size" alert with him only being back for one game, but Jacobs is a solid player and we know what we is capable of doing.

Just like the Packers defense, Carolina's defense ranked #1 in rushing touchdown given up this season. Their defense has given up a total of eleven rushing touchdowns and five of those touchdowns have come in their last five games.

Jacobs is a solid running back and the Packers are going to want to get him going in games to help their offense out! I like him to score at least once tonight and perform a favorable Lambeau Leap.
