NHL Plays & Predictions: November 3rd, 2026

All eyes will be solely on the NHL with zero NBA games scheduled for this evening because of National Voting Day! Eleven games on the pond tonight and there are a couple bangers!

When there's eleven games in a single night, there a pretty good chance I'm going to like quite a bit of plays! That's definitely true for tonight as I may like TOO MUCH tonight. The official card will be a FATTY tonight fo sho!

Here's three favorites team plays for tonight's slate:

Mammoth/Maple Leafs Over 6.5 (-130 Hard Rock/Caesars)

UTA Projected Goalie: Karel Vejmelka (6-5-0, .846 SV%, 4.00 GAA)
TOR Projected Goalie: Sergei Bobrovsky (3-5-2, .885 SV%, 3.29 GAA)

Two goalies who are leaking an average of 3+ goals per game and two offenses who can put pucks in the back of the net? The total is ONLY 6.5? They combined for nine total goals earlier this season? SIGN ME UP FOR THE OVER BABAY!

Both Vejmelka and Bobrovsky have been less than stellar in recent games. not only are they giving up goals, they are giving up goals to bad teams. I know some nights you might not have the stuff, but the bad teams you need to take of business. Vejmelka conceded six goals to the Flyers in his last game. Philly's offense is barely averaging two goals a game this season. SIX! SIX GOALS! Oh, don't think you're on in the same boat Big Bob because you are! Bobrovsky's given up at least four games to the Flames and the Islanders. Again, offense that are failing to average at least three goals per game.

Both the Mammoth and Leafs are averaging at least 3.60 goals per game this season. They both have the talent to put the puck in the net multiple times! That alone is worth the play here!

I'd play this all the way down to -150.

Canadiens 60 Minute ML (-110 SCORE)

WPG Projected Goalie: Stuart Skinner (3-4-3, .887 SV%, 3.36 GAA)
MTL Projected Goalie: Jacob Fowler (7-1-0, .932 SV%, 1.84 GAA)

I'm using the same thought process here that I use for my Caleb Wilson 3+ Stock bets in the NBA, never leave the table when you're riding a heater!

The Canadiens are on a complete tear in their last ten games. They won eight total games in their last ten games and are riding a five game win streak heading into tonight. The Jets are the complete opposite. They are 1-9 in their last ten games and would notch a 10-game losing streak with a loss in Montreal tonight.

At the time of writing this write up, Fowler is confirmed for the Canadiens in net while Skinner is projected. To be honest, it doesn't matter which goalie the Jets throw out there for me to like this play. Fowler being confirmed for Montreal solidifies this as a must play for me and probably my favorite play tonight!

Ducks/Canucks Over 7 (+110 MGM)

AnA Projected Goalie: Lukas Dostal (4-4-1, .872 SV%, 3.56 GAA)
VAN Projected Goalie: Leevi Merilainen (2-5-1, .897 SV%, 3.31 GAA)

Two teams who LOVE giving up goals (I don't know if they do for sure, but it seems like it) face off in Vancouver tonight!

Both goalies for tonight are averaging north of three goals against per game this season, and the teams are giving these goals up on off days for these goalies too! I say this because the Ducks are giving up an average of 3.79 this season and the Canucks are worse with a goals against average of 4.50! These teams also met exactly one week ago and there were eleven goals scored between them!

Now, the Canucks offense is averaging slight less than three goals per game which isn't great, but I see this match-up as though both teams will be playing with empty nets all game.
