I truly hate nights like tonight. I should be happy because there's ELEVEN games on in the NHL on tonight, but I'm not. Why am I not happy? Because there's not a lot of games or plays I LOVE tonight.

Whether it is because of the goalies projected in net or because I don't know if I can trust a team fully on the road (looking at you Rangers!), there's just not a ton of plays I'm jumping to put my hard earned coin on tonight. These are the days were it may be hard to stay disciplined because you feel like you HAVE to have a MEGA CARD because of the amount of games. That's not true.

There are SOME plays and props I like tonight though. Tonight is those kind of " It ain't much, but it's honest work" type of nights.

Jets ML (-126 FanDuel)

WPG Projected Goalie: Stuart Skinner (3-0-1, .917 SV%, 2.47 GAA)
CHI Projected Goalie: Spencer Knight (2-3-0, .885 SV%, 3.64 GAA)

Has anyone opened up Hellebucks lately? WHOA! $642,945 forfeited at this very second by Connor Hellebuyck this season! Who doesn't that affect it seems? The Jets!

Winnipeg is off to a hot start to their season (even without their Olympic winning netminder). They are 4-1-1 this season and are doing it with the likes of Stuart Skinner and Clay Stevenson.

They've also beat quality teams too. They've beaten the likes of Colorado, Pittsburgh, and Minnesota. Will this hot run last forever? Probably not. Remember, the Jets love to start seasons red hot, then when people start talking about Stanley Cup chances at the All Star or Four Nations break, they tank hard! However, they are hot now and that's all that matters.

They play the Blackhawks tonight who I think are better than their record shows. They are a team that can shock you if you look past them. Plus, they have Connor Bedard back and are undefeated this season with him (although it's been only a single game).

Some might say this is a trap game because the Jets have the defending Stanley Cup champs coming up in their next games, but I say HOG WASH!

The Jets are good enough to win this game and their goalies are playing really well. They are also 2-0-0 on the road beating both Detroit and Pittsburgh.

This could be a one goal Jets win and maybe a 3-2 or 2-1, but they should still win. Gimme this all the way down to -135.

Oilers ML (-105 Bet365)

UTA Projected Goalie: Karel Vejmelka (4-1-0, .895 SV%, 2.46 GAA)
EDM Projected Goalie: Devon Levi (4-0-0, .903 SV%, 2.76 GAA)

Unlike the Rangers (it sounds like I'm throwing shade at new York, I'm not), the Oilers are a team I'd be confident to back in any situation at home or on the road.

Head Coach Mike Babcock has this team BUZZIN' to start the season! They are currently riding a five game win streak and lead the league in Goals Forced Per Game (4.83). The top line performers are also playing phenomenally. The "Evan McDraisaitl" triple-threat wombo combo is also making Edmonton lose their minds, but in a good way!

The Mammoth are no team to scoff at though. They are also playing really well to start the year and have a Top 5 offensive attack as well. This game might be Absolute Cinema when the puck drops and we get the Oilers Top Line versus the Mammoth Top Line.

Utah's two losses have come on the road and this game will be played in Edmonton. Even though both these offenses can score, I expect the Oilers to do a bit more offensive and I like the way Devon Levi has been playing for the Oilers in between the pipes!

Devon Levi O 24.5 Saves (-108 FanDuel)

Speaking of Levi, I expect him to continue his hot play in net tonight for Edmonton.

The hit rate of this prop for Levi might be 50%, but that's because he didn't see 25 shots in total in his first two games. Seattle only put up 20 shots and the Canucks only put up 22 shots in his first two games.

Utah's offense should easily be able to put up at least 25 shots tonight. In their last five games, they've averaged 31.2 shots and haven't shot below 28 shots in those five games.

The question is: Can Levi stop the majority of the shots tonight? The shots will be there for the Mammoth. Will Levi be able to make the saves? Yes, he should.
